IEEE WIE
Il Gruppo IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group (AG) della Sezione IEEE Italia è nato nel dicembre 2016 per promuovere e sostenere la presenza delle donne ingegnere nelle Università, nelle industrie e nelle istituzioni a livello nazionale.
WIE è una delle più grandi organizzazioni professionali internazionali che si dedica alla promozione delle donne ingegnere e scienziate, e che ispira le ragazze di tutto il mondo a seguire i loro interessi in ingegneria.
MISSION E VISIONE
In accordo con la missione e la visione del WIE, l'obiettivo principale del WIE AG italiano è quello di creare un ambiente collaborativo dove i membri possono stabilire nuove relazioni, condividere idee e progetti per facilitare l'accesso e sostenere la presenza delle donne nelle discipline ingegneristiche.
In Italia, le donne sono molto attive nelle discipline STEM (Scienze, Tecnologia, Ingegneria e Matematica), ma sono ancora una minoranza. L'aumento del numero di donne in STEM è indispensabile per la crescita futura del nostro Paese.

The IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group (AG) of the IEEE Italy Section was established in December 2016 to promote and support the presence of female engineers in universities, industries and institutions at national level.
WIE is one of the largest international professional organizations dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists, and inspires girls around the world to follow their interests in engineering.
MISSION AND VISION
In accordance with the mission and vision of the WIE, the main objective of the Italian WIE AG is to create a collaborative environment where members can establish new relationships, share ideas and projects to facilitate access and boost the presence of women in engineering disciplines.
In Italy, women are very active in the STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), but they are still a minority. Increasing the number of women in STEM is essential for the future growth of our country.**
